Actor, musician, producer, and teacher Onye Eme-Akwari was born in Nigeria. His artistic path as a lifelong fan of music began when he was 4 years old and began teaching himself to play the piano and drums after observing the musicians in the church choir every Sunday. This later led to playing in and instructing high school marching bands, independent indoor drum lines, and world-class drum corps.
With performing ensembles from all across the nation, he has toured the continental United States as well as numerous nations in both Europe and Asia.
Due to his involvement in these artistic activities, Onye decided to enroll in acting classes at many studios in his native Atlanta.
After some time, he settled in at the Robert Mello Studio, where he finished the Meisner program with Rob Mello and took additional classes in viewpoints and improv.
