N.J. Gov. Chris Christie spent more than $80,000 on concessions at Jets, Giants stadium, report says

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie spent over $82,000 in state funds on concession purchases at New York Jets and Giants games during the 2010 and 2011 seasons, a New Jersey watchdog report states.
An investigation by New Jersey Watchdog showed that Christie, who is paid $175,000 per year and has a $95,000 expense account annually, has spent $360,000 from the account over his five years in office, dropping $300,000 on food and drink. According to the state’s budget, the account functions as “an allowance of funds not otherwise appropriated and used for official receptions on behalf of the state, the operation of an official residence, for other expenses.”
